What It’s Like at Camp
Life as a Summer Camp Counselor
First and foremost, summer camp is a blast, especially if you’re a counselor. There really is no better way to describe it. You get to play, laugh, and explore, while also being seen as a “rock star” in the eyes of our campers.
When was the last time you got to take a canoe across the lake, soar on zip-lines, or shoot arrows? Every day is a new adventure, jam-packed with activities you won’t find at a desk job.
Why Work at Adirondack Camp?
We have a strong philosophy, a fabulous program, impressive facilities, and 100+ caring staff members who love children and have a deep sense of accountability. We are deeply committed to the principles upon which we stand.
Where Our Staff Come From
Approximately 35% of our summer camp counselors come from US colleges and graduate schools. The rest come from 35+ different countries around the world.
What It’s Like to Live in a Cabin
Life in the cabin is a lot different than what most people are used to. Every morning you wake up to the fresh mountain air, with the beauty of the lake sitting right outside your window, offering a kind of peace and tranquility you won’t find in a city.
We pride ourselves in our accommodations, so you definitely won’t be “roughing it” on the dirt. Instead, you will find our cabins to be quite comfortable, and might end up preferring them to your own bed at home!
