Matt’s father was a staff member at Adirondack from 1951-1954 and instilled Matt with a love of camp life; he practically grew up at our kids camp. He was a camper for six years, a counselor for five years, and has been director since 1996. His experience and love of camp makes him an ideal director.
Matt and his wife, Nina teach at Greenwich Country Day School. Matt’s tremendous energy keeps him connected with children year round; he coaches ice hockey, cross country, and is in the center of many activities in Greenwich during the off season.
Matt & Nina have experienced Camp through all lenses. They have been campers, staff and are currently enjoying Adirondack as parents through their son Jack and daughter Anna.
I believe that Adirondack Camp is a place where a child is able to develop self confidence and take safe risks. It is a place where a child can play, challenge themselves, and where they learn to reach their full potential. It is a place where strong, lasting friendships and memories are forged. Adirondack is a place that remains in the hearts of all the campers, staff and families forever.
