When campers get their roll, it’s a very big deal! Kayak staff has the opportunity to accompany campers on class II/III whitewater day trips led by an experienced guide. Applicants must be experienced kayaking in both flat and whitewater; teaching experience is a plus.
As a Kayaking Instructor you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being, and overall enjoyment of campers during their time at Adirondack Camp. You will be in charge of teaching the fundamentals as well as advanced instruction, including high brace, Eskimo roll, capsizing, self-rescue and wet entry, and proper strokes. You will also be responsible for promoting camper safety, fostering a positive culture, and helping to make lasting memories for all.
