Canoeing has become campers’ favorite activity, all because of the energy and crazy enthusiasm of the staff! Experienced canoeists must be capable of teaching the fundamentals as well as advanced instruction, including solo and tandem, capsizing, self-rescue, entry, and proper strokes. Canoe staff also accompany our trip staff on extended overnight and day trips across the lake. Current American Red Cross Waterfront Lifeguard certification and CPR for the Professional Rescuer are a plus; these courses are offered pre-season to staff.
As a Canoeing Instructor you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being, and overall enjoyment of campers during their time at Adirondack Camp. You will be in charge of guiding our campers on the water, as well as teaching the fundamentals of canoeing. You will also be responsible for promoting camper safety, fostering a positive culture, and helping to make lasting memories for all.
Certification courses are offered pre-season to staff.
